Dishoom is a 2016 Indian heist-comedy film that was produced and directed by Rohit Dhawan. It is a sequel to 2013's Desi Boyz, and stars Varun Dhawan, John Abraham, Jacqueline Fernandez, Daisy Shah and Anupam Kher. The release date of Dishoom in India was 18 August 2016. A group of chefs are traveling to Mumbai to start work at their new restaurant when they unexpectedly get caught up in the criminal world. The film received mixed reviews from critics but was commercially successful worldwide; it emerged as the highest-grossing Bollywood production of all time in overseas markets like Russia and the CIS countries. Vinay, a chef from a Bangladeshi restaurant, and his three friends Anirudh, Nitin and Akshay are struggling to find a job. They arrange an interview with the restaurateur Samir about the job of chef at Samir's new international chain of restaurants. The interview goes well and Vinay is offered the job. Vinay's friends then realize that they have been conned into joining a chain of restaurants. They convince Vinay to stay back as he is not ready to give up on his dream of becoming a chef and leaves for Mumbai. Anirudh and Akshay go on to join the Mumbai Excursion Excursionist Kochi-based company of tour guides. Nitin, who has been fired from the previous job, has got another job as a barista at a coffee shop. Vinay joins them for periodic socials and outings to ease their boredom. Vinay is interested in exploring the true Mumbai and is keen to make his presence felt on the streets of the city; he arrives at work late on his first day and is caught up in a huge fire which destroys everything he has worked hard for. Anirudh and Akshay help him recover but Vinay's employers find out about what happened and fire him. Anirudh and Vinay decide to steal a customer's credit card to pay for a night in a fancy hotel. They decide to go with Akshay and Nitin who don't have any money, too. In the hotel room, Vinay gets an idea from the television that he can steal from rich people. He decides that they will use their culinary knowledge for this venture. The plan works initially, but they eventually get into trouble with the police when one of their victims fights back. In jail, Vinay realizes that they actually need to work hard if they want to survive in this city and not just steal money. Vinay is released from jail and gets a job in a local restaurant, but works there in secret. After getting drunk one night, he agrees to the offer of a rich man from Pune to show him around the city's nightlife. They end up in a car chase which results in the car crashing into a luxurious hotel where they meet an equally wealthy host who invites them in for drinks. It turns out that Vinay made a deal to show this man around Mumbai for money after he was drunk and started going through his belongings when he found out that Vinay wasn't carrying any cash. cfa1e77820
